CTO – First Camp

First Camp has a unique position in an industry that is undergoing an exciting development. The company was founded in 2001 and is today Scandinavia’s largest camping and cabin chain with 50 destinations in Sweden, nine in Denmark and two in Norway. First Camp is also the largest booking channel for camping and accommodation in Scandinavia with their brands: First Camp, Jesperhus, Feriepark and Leksand Resort.

First Camp’s growth and competitiveness has a lot to do with their extended data systems, something that is unique to the market in which they operate. As they keep growing, they need an experienced CTO that want to be a part of the journey and the continuous development of the company and its systems. The CTO will have an overall responsibility to lead and drive the Tech/IT work for the company’s continued growth in established and new markets.

Experience & Competence

  •  Broad technical competence and experience
  • Experience from leading and building a Tech / IT department
  • Experience from data driven environments
  • Experience from consumer-oriented businesses
  • Experience from agile Tech organization and processes
  • Merit experience of season-oriented businesses
  • Merit of having worked in M&A environments or dynamic and growth-oriented environments
  • Solid communication skills in English and Swedish (or Nordic languages)

Overall Goals in 3 years

  • Contribute to First Camp growth of: 2 BSEK, minimum 5 countries and 85 sites in 2027
  • Build a world class Tech / IT function in hospitality
  • Overall responsible for Tech / IT strategy, vision, and execution
  • Increase customer satisfaction through tech and IT improvements and increase online booking
  • Commit to drive deadline and prioritize short- and long-term initiatives – understand gaps and remove suboptimizations
  • Secure the right systems are utilized / sourced – based on central and regional requirements
  • Increase knowledge and focus of digital solutions and processes


Placement: Nordics, ideally in Stockholm or Gothenburg

Start: Q1 2023
