Head of E-Commerce – CTEK
CTEK was founded in 1997 in Vikmanshyttan and has since then been a fast-growing company where innovation is key. Today they are the global leader in battery care and power management solutions, selling over a million chargers every year in over 70 countries. CTEK was the first in the world to introduce the “smart way” to charge a battery. It is based on communication between the charger and the battery. Prestige and luxury car manufactures understood this right away and good relationships were created. Now the innovation and product are available to everyday drivers and are among others used by car manufacturers – such as Audi, BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini.
The Head of E-Commerce role is going to be vital in driving CTEK’s continued digital growth by leading e-commerce strategies and optimizing the digital customer journey. In this role you will be responsible for managing global marketplaces, developing new revenue streams, and enhancing the overall customer experience. This is an opportunity to shape the company’s future success on an international scale.
Experiences and Competences
- Experience of having managed E-commerce within Consumer goods
- Solid multichannel experience
- Competence of developing E-commerce strategies; sales and digital marketing including strategy development and budget responsibility
- Experience of platform, architecture and operations
- Solid B2C understanding (merit with B2B)
- Experience working in international/multicultural work environments
- Informal leadership is required. Formal Line management experience is a merit
- Experience from mid-size/large companies
- Relevant system & platform knowledge
- Relevant Degree in business or engineering
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Merit with Swedish fluency

Areas of Responsibility
- Define, build and develop CTEKs digital customer offer / journey
- Responsible for the E-commerce P/L and international/key marketplaces
- The role owns the agenda to secure activities which will best support the strategy and revenue growth plans for the divisions
- Owns the definition of the activity and/or E-commerce project scope, timing, resources and budget
- The responsibility also includes the global marketplaces. Develop strategies, sales targets and continuous optimize the offers to stay competitive ➢ Ensure that the team are focused on the right goals and objectives and has the resources it needs to be successful
- Work for that the department are using the latest techniques and technologies to remain competitive and/or stay ahead of the competition
- Responsible for customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion online
- Secure the right technical set-up with IT with platforms and systems. Provide strategic oversight and a strong business and operations approach to managing existing systems and developing enhance models for the future
- Identify and build strategic partnerships for developing the websites and marketplaces
- Design and develop company-wide management KPI dashboards o E-commerce standard KPI’s
- Coach the team to ensure a full understanding of the expected deliverables based on the scope definition, brief, time plan, budgets, roles and responsibilities
- Keep track of status for project and activities and prepare quarterly reporting.
- Monitor expected results for each activity and propose counter activities in case of deviations
- Drives actively the communication with the Divisions as a “go-to” person to ensure project and activity transparency
- Together with the marketing department bringing forward the on-line presence across different platforms
Overall Goals of the Assignment
Short Term: 12 months
- Build relations with key stake holders within the CTEK – central and regional organization as well as partners and customers
- Secure delivery on annual targets and actions for 2025
- Lead and implement on-going strategic initiatives for the E-COM Unit including optimizing and expanding cooperation with current and new potential Market Places
- Define a strategy plan and business case (mid-term) strengthening CTEKs digital customer journey D2C in existing as well as new markets
- Start build internal requirements in terms of resources and capabilities for implementing agreed strategy including customer insights and data driven way of working e.g. in developing and fine-tune the customer offer
- Launch Wave 1 CTEK D2C in selected new markets or up-grades in existing markets, based on agreed strategy and G2M
Mid-term: 12-32 months
- Wider launch of CTEK D2C E-com för selected markets wave 2&3 meaning tablish and expand digital business for all markets
- Drive digitalization across the company
- Expand market places, D2C, omnichannel support for all customer and resellers
- Open up markets with D2C, grow Amazon/markets places and retailers
