Business Architect

Autoliv is the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems. Through the groups companies, they develop, manufacture and market protective systems, such as airbags, seatbelts, and steering wheels for all major automotive manufacturers in the world as well as mobility safety solutions. In 2024 Autoliv is relaunching its Innovation Center in Vårgårda and launching a newly formed incubation unit globally, tasked with developing and validating new growth opportunities within areas of strategic importance to Autoliv. Joining the Global Incubation unit, you will be an integral part of our innovative journey to bring more life-saving innovation to mobility and society.

As the Business Architect in a cross-functional solution team, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the business strategies of new business ventures. In the Global Incubation unit, you will work closely with team members, colleagues, and customers to explore opportunities that could become Autolivs future core businesses. Experience & Competence

  • 4-6 years international experience from relevant industry within innovation intense environments in startup/scaleup ventures, incubator/accelerator organizations, or entrepreneur-in-residence at a VC firm (preferably with solution including both HW/SW)
  • Persuasive communication and presentation skills, with proven success managing customer relationships
  • Well-versed in lean startup practices, tools, and methodologies – and experienced in using them to grow new businesses from zero to launch
  • Passion for innovation, blend of both corporate and startup mindset
  • Experienced in taking strategy and operations to new heights in bringing new businesses to market, from defining the value proposition and the kind of new business to create, to validating the new business, and building the organizational structure and financing necessary for business launch and operation
  • Solid commercial skillset and competence across customer discovery
  • Proven ability to connect new businesses with their target audiences and drive growth through world-class go-to-market rollouts, digital marketing, and sales strategies
  • Experience with agile ways of working is a merit
  • Experience with solutions that include mechatronics, software, and hardware is a merit
  • Experience and network within global innovation ecosystems is a merit
  • Experience with digital marketing and growth hacking is a merit
  • Fluency in English mandatory and fluency in Swedish is a merit
  • Experience related to mobility, transportation, or safety industries is a merit

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide your team with the competence needed to successfully launch a new business
  • Develop the marketing, pricing, and operational structures needed to commercialize new businesses and solutions
  • Craft comprehensive and actionable proposals to get, keep, and grow customer segments – balancing customer acquisition cost with customer lifetime value
  • Analyze and prioritize business assumptions for validation in the market with customers
  • Craft and oversee growth strategies, and structure grow paths for new businesses that align with Autoliv’s long-term business aspirations
  • Embrace omnichannel growth hacking, whether it’s inbound or outbound, physical or digital, paid or earned, every channel is an opportunity
  • Adopt a hypothesis-driven approach to experimentation with customer feedback loops and validated learning
  • Enable data-driven decision making with regularly A/B tests to refine strategies and ensure they cater to the growth opportunity being worked on
  • Research competitors and understand where the solution and business fits in the existing landscape as part of the go-to-market strategy
