Holm Security is a Stockholm-based cybersecurity SaaS company helping organizations continuously identify, prioritize and manage vulnerabilities across their digital attack surface. The platform is mature, the customer base is established, and the company is now entering an ambitious phase of international growth.

As CTO, you will lead that transformation together with the CEO and the rest of the management team. You will set the technology direction, strengthen engineering leadership and ways of working, tighten the alignment between Product and Engineering, and accelerate delivery through AI adoption and modern development practices. This is a hands-on executive role with a clear mandate — reporting directly to the CEO and sitting at the heart of the company’s growth strategy.

Experience & Competence

• Experience from senior technology leadership roles within software product companies
• Strong background from B2B SaaS and product-led organizations
• Experience scaling engineering organizations and driving organizational transformation
• Proven ability to balance speed, innovation and time-to-market with quality, scalability and long-term platform health
• Experience from scale-up environments undergoing growth, transformation and organizational development
• Proven track record of improving delivery capabilities, execution and engineering effectiveness
• Product mindset with ability to bridge Product, Engineering and commercial stakeholders
• Technical foundation within software development, architecture or engineering leadership
• Experience from mission-critical software environments where availability, reliability, quality and security are business-critical factors
• Line management experience and experience of leading distributed and international engineering organizations across multiple locations and cultures
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud-based environments and engineering best practices
• Champion of AI and modern engineering practices
• Experience of cybersecurity is beneficial but not required
• Academic degree is a merit
• Fluency in English with Swedish as a merit

Responsibility Areas

• Own and lead Holm Security’s overall technology organization—including engineering, architecture, and platform—to drive value-based product development and ensure a faster time-to-market aligned with the global business strategy
• Develop and strengthen the engineering organization, its leadership capabilities, ways of working and overall performance
• Ensure strong alignment between Product Management and Engineering, supporting effective prioritization and execution
• Challenge structures, processes and ways of working that limit scalability, efficiency or growth
• Drive technology and architecture decisions that support scalability, reliability, security and long-term business objectives
• Establish and maintain effective development processes, governance structures and engineering best practices
• Lead and develop distributed engineering teams across multiple locations and cultures
• Support the adoption of AI, automation and modern software development practices across the organization
• Act as a key member of the Executive Management Team and contribute to the company’s overall strategy, growth and value creation
• Balance commercial priorities, customer needs and technical considerations to support sustainable product development
• Represent technology and engineering in executive, board and strategic business discussions

First 100 Days
Understand & Assess

• Develop a deep understanding of Holm Security’s business, strategy, products, customers, and growth ambitions
• Build trust and credibility across the organization and establish yourself as a valued member of the Executive Management Team
• Assess the technology landscape, engineering organization, delivery model, external partnerships, and current use of AI and automation
• Identify the key opportunities and constraints impacting speed, quality, scalability, and efficiency

Define the Transformation

• Present a clear transformation plan, defining the priorities, organizational changes, technology investments, and operational improvements required to achieve the company’s ambitions

Throughout this period, the CTO will work closely with the CEO and Executive Management Team, who will actively support and enable the successful execution of the transformation agenda.

Months 4–12
Execute & Deliver

• Execute the transformation plan and strengthen internal ownership of technology, architecture, and engineering excellence
• Establish a highly effective operating model between Product Management and Engineering
• Accelerate delivery through AI-driven development, automation, modern engineering practices, and efficient planning structures
• Deliver measurable improvements in time-to-market, quality, productivity, platform reliability, and technical debt
• Build a high-performance engineering culture based on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Establish yourself as Holm Security’s technology leader and a key contributor to the company’s growth strategy
