About the position

Autoliv is looking for a Senior Project Manager to strengthen its global Digital, IT & Security PMO – a key part of the company’s ongoing digital transformation journey. The role is central to modernizing infrastructure, applications, and digital capabilities across Autoliv’s global organization, ensuring that technology initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional transformation programs spanning areas such as cloud migration, ERP modernization, cybersecurity, and manufacturing digitalization. You will collaborate with teams across IT, operations, and security to secure alignment, drive delivery, and foster adoption of new systems and ways of working.

The position combines strong program management and change leadership, requiring both strategic perspective and hands-on execution. You will play an important role in shaping the digital foundation of one of the world’s leading industrial companies.

Experience & Competence

      • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience and solid track record in broad IT/digital program/project management, with a focus on transformation initiatives – data and manufacturing digitalization
      • Understanding of enterprise IT systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and software development lifecycles
      • Solid competence of balancing tech and business, with capability to build relationships with both business and IT stakeholders and work towards business outcomes
      • Excellent leadership, and stakeholder management skills
      • Ideally experience of global manufacturing and related industries
      • Experience within international/multinational and matrix/virtual organizations
      • Expertise in communication and very strong in change management including methodologies (e.g. Prosci, Kotter, Agile Change).
      • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC); Prosci or equivalent change management certification
      • Ideally leadership experience of developing other in a mentorship capacity
      • Highly preferred with understanding of legacy systems and decentralized organizations
      • Merit with experience leading digital transformation in regulated or complex environments
      • Bachelor / Master in a relevant field
      • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Merit with Swedish fluency

Goals, Scope & Responsibilities of the Role

IT Project & Project Management

      • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT transformation projects/programs (e.g., cloud migration, ERP modernization, DevOps adoption)
      • Define project/program scope, architecture alignment, and technical roadmaps in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders
      • Manage cross-functional teams including software engineers, architects, cybersecurity, and infrastructure specialists
      • Oversee vendor and partner relationships, ensuring alignment with technical and contractual requirements
      • Track milestones, budgets, and risks using Agile, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies

 Technology Change Leadership

      • Champion the human side of IT change—ensuring users adopt new systems, tools, and processes
      • Develop and execute change management strategies tailored to technical audiences (e.g., developers, IT operations, end users)
      • Conduct impact assessments and readiness evaluations for system rollouts and process changes
      • Design and deliver communication, training, and support plans to drive adoption of new technologies
      • Monitor adoption metrics and user feedback to refine change strategies
      • Stakeholder & Governance Management
      • Engage with CIOs, CTOs, and business unit leaders to align IT transformation goals with enterprise strategy
      • Lead steering committees and governance forums to ensure transparency and accountability
      • Translate complex technical concepts into business language for executive reporting.

 Continuous Improvement & Innovation

      • Identify opportunities to streamline IT operations and enhance digital capabilities
      • Promote a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous learning within IT teams
      • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT transformation and change management
