CTEK was founded in 1997 in Vikmanshyttan and has since then been a fast-growing company where innovation is key. Today they are the global leader in battery care and power management solutions. CTEK was the first in the world to introduce the “smart way” to charge a battery. It is based on communication between the charger and the battery. Prestige and luxury car manufactures understood this right away and good relationships were created. Now the innovation and product are available to everyday drivers and are among others used by car manufacturers – such as Audi, BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

CTEK is now looking for a Technical Product Owner who ensures that products are developed and maintained in line with business directives, technical feasibility, and regulatory compliance.

Experiences and Competences

• Proven experience from product development lifecycle of physical products including both hardware and software, from concept to production and maintenance
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience of smaller/midsized environments, ideally combined with experience from larger environments
• Strong technical foundation in relevant technical field
• Familiarity with current industry standards and best practices in hardware, software, project management and/or product management
• Experience of working with consumer-oriented products
• Experience of working with products developed and produced “in-house”
• Understanding of embedded systems
• Good technical understanding to understand and explain HW/SW or system architectures
• A relevant degree is a merit
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Areas of Responsibility

• Own the technical execution of the assigned product family, ensuring functionality and performance expectations align with company objectives
• Drive and coordinate new development initiatives, updates, and maintenance of existing products
• Act as a technical reference point within the organization, ensuring internal teams, suppliers, and customers have access to correct product knowledge
• Lead and drive development projects within the assigned product family, coordinating cross-functional efforts
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, ensuring timely execution and alignment with company priorities
• Ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and follow the CTEK development model and procedures
• Work closely with Product Business Owners to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and technical feasibility
• Collaborate with Development Managers and Engineering Teams to ensure efficient execution
• Define product specifications for the assigned product family
• Approve technical specifications (system specifications) for the assigned product family
• Drive project prioritization and execution, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap
• Ownership of the technical execution and lifecycle management of the assigned product family
• Drive and lead development projects, managing activities, timelines, and costs
• Dictate technical decisions for assigned products
• Manage allocated budget for product and project initiatives
